It's
with great pride I ask you to join me in congratulating the long list
of Navy winners in the Department of Defense Visual Information Program
(VIAP) -- Navy list below.
The Defense Information School, using industry professionals as judges, reviewed 2,288 submissions from 355 entrants to award the overall titles of Military Photographer of the Year, Military Videographer of the Year and Military Graphic Artist of the Year in addition to 1st, 2nd 3rd place and Honorable Mentions in each category across the three separate competitions The VIAP is designed to recognize, reward and promote excellence among military photographers, videographers, journalists and graphic artists for their achievements in furthering the objectives of military photography, videography, and graphic arts as a command information and documentation media within the military. This
program operates as part of the Office of the Assistant Secretary of
Defense for Public Affairs and is administered by the DINFOS commandant,
with cooperation from national and local professional organizations. |
